Whittle-le-Woods Community Hall

The Village Hall has teamed up with the Parish Council and other residents to create a committee to organise events to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

We are currently trying to organise the following events.

Friday 1st June - Jubilee Ball at the Town Hall with buffet. Tickets £30

Sunday 3rd June - Senior citizens lunch at the village hall - childrens street party on trhe play area.

Monday 4th June - disco in the evening in the village hall followed by a torch-lit prossession/walk to the top of the quarry for a bonfire and firework display at 10.30pm

Now that you have put on a few pounds on the run up and during the holiday period, it might be a good time to work off that extra weight with a Zumba session. Why not come to the village in the New Year and join the Zumba class. Resumes after the New Year on Tuesday 10th January at 8.00pm. Contact Lynsey on 07870874224 or  just turn up on the night.

The Village Hall have had 39 solar PV panels fitted to the roof. These panels produce upto 10kw of electricity from sunlight which can be used in the hall or transferred to the National Grid. This will give an inflation proofed income for the hall which is guaranteed for 25 years. Solar King from Eccleston installed the panels which were funded from our own reserves.

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grade 5 by Chorley Council for our food hygiene standard.
This is the maxium rating that can be achieved.

 Pilates class on Wednesdays  7 - 8 pm for ladies and gentlemen.
£4.00 per session.
